Mermails have been around for quite a while and every once and a while you will see one top an event. I think this deck is a good contender for a top tier deck, which is why I will be taking it to Regionals.
Mermails are a fast swarm deck that focuses on fast wins. The deck makes rank 7 XYZs really fast such as Dracossack and Big Eye which are very good cards this format. They can also make Rank 4 and 3 XYZs. For example, "Castel, The Skyblaster Musketeer" a rank 4 XYZ is effective against Shaddolls, giving the deck more advantage.
Monsters 26
2x Genex Controller
2x Genex Undine
1x Mermail Abyssleed
2x Mermail AbyssMegalo
3x Mermail Abyssteus

1x Mermail Abyssgunde
1x Mermail Abyssocea
1x Atlantean Dragoons

2x Atlantean Heavy Infantry

Spells 6

1x Mind Control
1x Book of Moon
1x Mystical Space Typhoon
Traps 8
3x Abyss-Sphere
2x Breakthrough Skill
1x Abyss-Squal
1x Compulsory Evacuation Device
1x Bottomless Trap hole
Extra 15
1x Leo, Keeper of The Sacred Tree
1x Black Rose Dragon
1x Dewloren, Tiger King of The Ice Barrier
1x Mecha Phantom Beast Dracossack
1x Number 11: Big Eye
1x Mermail Abyssgaios
1x Abyss Dweller
1x Gagaga Cowboy
1x Castel, The Skyblaster Musketeer
1x Bahamut Shark
1x Maestroke The Symphony Djinn
1x Ghostrick Alucard

Genex Build
I chose to run the Genex build because it added more consistency. Being able to Trigger Atlantean Dragoons with Genex Undine's effect is key to making this deck good. It also gives you faster access to Tidal, Dragon Ruler of Waterfalls, which the Aqua Spirit build could not do effectively without Lavalval Chain.
The Atlantean Suite
In this deck my Atlantean Suite is...
1 Atlantean Dragoons
2 Atlantean Marksman
2 Atlantean Heavy Infantry
I found this to be the perfect ratio this format. Infantry can be used to hit flood gate cards like Vanity's Emptiness. Marksman can hit the backrow you might be scared of. I also found running more of Infantry or Marksman than I currently play to be cloggy.
Do you think this deck has a chance this format?

Why You Should Play Mystical Space Typhoon
After the release of Primal Origin a lot of players aren,t playing Mystical Space Typhoon(MST) anymore or they are just playing one, But why do they no longer play MST? In Primal Origin the Artifact Archetype was released in the TCG. Whenever an Artifact card is destroyed in the spell or trap card zone on their opponents turn they are special summoned and they will get another effect. The main Artifact monster that you have to worry about is Moraltach because he can destroy any monster on the field. This is a logical reason for why you should not MST, but there are some cases where you will want three MST in your main deck. For example if you go against scraps and they open up with Scrap Factory then you are in trouble if you only play one MST because you will hardly draw it. there are many more times when you will want to play MST but you don't have anymore. This is why you should play MST.
How to use MST
If you do play MST you will want to carefully use it though. There are plenty of Artifact decks around, so you will not want to blind MST. When you blind MST you are randomly going to MST another card. This can lead to a game lose because you might hit a Moralltach. What you will want to do is set your MST an wait until your opponent's endphase to use it and the effects of the Artifact cards will not activate.
I hope you found this helpful.

Upstart Goblin And Reckless Greed
Upstart Goblin and Reckless greed are the most popular draw cards this format. you may be thinking Why are they good? and What decks can play them?
Reckless Greed allows you to draw 2 cards, but skip your next 2 draw phases. At first sight this card may seem bad, but it's not. If you play a deck that can otk like Mermail, Dragon Rulers, And Darkworlds this is a good card to play because it gives you 2 more cards in your hand. If you play 2 Reckless Greeds you don't have to skip your next 4 draw phases because they don't stack. If you activate 1 Reckless you will go +2 and -2 so it levels out at a +0 or a -0. If you activate 2 Reckless you will go +4 and -2 or just +2. if you activate 3 Reckless then you will go +6 and -2 or just +4. This is why Reckless Greed is so good.
Upstart Goblin Allows you to draw 1 card and increase your opponents life points by 1000. By playing Upstart Goblin in your deck you are essentially playing a 37 card deck because as soon as you activate Upstart goblin you will replace it with another card in your deck. If your deck is a combo based deck like: Fire Fist, Quasar decks, and Evilswarm this card is the best card to play because it lets you get your combo pieces fast.
Now that you know a lot more about these cards you can try to put them in your deck. Personally i like Upstart Goblin.

Top Five Best Non-Meta Decks
Hello everybody. Today I am going talking about good decks that you don't see anyone play.
1Six Samurai: They are strong and can control your opponent. They work by swarming and negating effects with Naturia Beast and Naturia Barkion.
2 Psychics: They focus on making high level synchro monsters whether you are playing Tele Dad, Grandsoil Psychics, or just regular Psychics.
3 Gladiator Beasts: They use monster effects to pop their opponents cards and they can replace them selfs with any Gladiator Beast you want that is in the deck.
4 Fabled: The playing style of Fableds are similar to Darkworlds, but they synchro summon monsters a lot and can even make Quasar Dragon.
5 Machina Gadgets: Their playing style is to search and swarm.

DRACOSSACK AND EXCITON KNIGHT REPRINT NOT REAL
On april 1st there was a video going around that said that Dracossack and exciton knight would be reprinted. This is not really going to happen, it is an april fools.
Why is it not real?
1: There is not a list of contents on the page.
2: Dracossack and Exciton Knight are to good to be reprinted
3 It is not on the official Konami Website.
Sorry that you guys got disappointed about it, but they might get reprinted in the future.

Top Decks For April 2014
The banlist will come in affect tomorrow and that means that it is time for a new format. A few decks got hit, but not hard enough to kill the decks. Here is what I think are going to be the best decks for this format starting with the best.
Mermails: I still think that Mermails are the best deck even though Mermail Abyssgunde was limited. They don't need her at more than one because they can search her with Teus. Click here to look at my mermail deck.
Bujin: The reason I think Bujin are one of the best decks is because they can't be killed. They protect one monster and thats it.
Fire Fist: Even though wolfbark is limited they are still good. They will use Call of the Haunted and Reborn Tengu instead of Wolfbark. Click here for my Fire Fist deck profile.
Geargia: Geargia swarm a lot and pull off so many OTKs.
Darkworlds: They do a lot of special summoning each duel and with the new support being released in Primal Origins they will be even stronger. Click here for my Dark world deck profile.
Hieratic Rulers: They are not the best deck, but they can be good. They use Dragon Rulers for XYZ and synchro plays.
Chaos Lightsworn: They are strong and with the right hand they can OTK you.
Synchro Decks: Quickdraw Plants, Synchro Plants, or T.G. Junk Doppel.
Blackwings: Have always been one of the best decks. They do a lot of synchro summoning.
Inzektors: They have consistency issues so they don't do that well, but when they get a good hand then they are hard to beat.
Those are what i think are going to be the best decks for this format.

New Dark World Support OP
Dark Worlds will be getting new support in Primal Origins; Kelt Ogrelord of the Dark world is a level six Fiend with 2400 ATK. Playing him will give you access to rank six XYZs like Photon Strike Bounzer. You may Think that he is not good, but he is. His effect is that when he is discarded you special summon him.
Why is he OP? He is OP because if you play your deck right then you can special summon three of him in one turn. Playing him over Beiige give you more chances to OTK your opponent. Here is how you pull off the OTK. Activate Gates of the Dark World. Discard three Kelts this can be done using any card that will get off their effects. Attack your opponent directly with all three of them. 2700 + 2700 + 2700 = 8100. That is how you pull off the OTK.

How to Pull off the 1 Billion Attack Cyber dragon
Lately a few people have asked me how to pull off the 1 Billion Attack Cyber Dragon Combo, so I will explain how to pull it off. It works by using Primal Seed which will be unlimited in April 2014 to continually use Limiter Removal.
Cards you need: 2x Primal Seed, 1x Black Luster Soldier Envoy of the Beginning, 1x Limiter Removal, and 1x Macro Cosmos.
Step 1: Special Summon Cyber Dragon with his own effect; this only works if your opponent has at least one monster on their side of the field and you have no monsters on your side. Next Special summon Black Luster Soldier Envoy of The Beginning by banishing 1 light and 1 dark monster from your graveyard. Then activate Macro Cosmos. If you have 2 Primal Seeds and 1 Limiter Removal in your hand, you are ready to pull off the loop.
Step 2: Activate Limiter Removal to double the ATK of your Cyber Dragon. Since you have Macro Cosmos face-up, Limiter Removal is banished rather than going to the graveyard. Cyber Dragon is now at 4200 ATK.
Step 3: Activate Primal Seed to add Limiter Removal and one other banished card to your hand.
Step 4: Activate Limiter Removal. Cyber Dragon is now at 8400 ATK.
Step 5: Activate Primal Seed to add the second Primal Seed and your Limiter Removal to your Hand.
Set 6: Repeat Steps 4 and 5 as many times you want to continually double the attack of Cyber Dragon.
I have played this deck a few times and only once was I able to pull it off. I recommend playing lots of light and dark monsters and a lot of draw cards. If your opponent has a lot of backrow you can use this loop with Mystical Space Typhoon before doing it with Limiter Removal.

April 2014 Banlist!
Hey guys.
Today Konami Released the April 2014 banlist. It is great banlist unless you are Fire Fist player lol. Unfortunately none of my banlist predictions came true, but the decks i said that would get hit still did in a different way than I predicted. With out further ado lets get on with it.
Forbidden
Morphing Jar: the reason they banned this card was because this was a win button for Dark Worlds. If they used this effect then they could almost good go +4.
Morphing Jar #2: There were a lot of loops with this card that could deck your opponent.
Limited
Coach Soldier Wolfbark: This card let Fire Fist players make rank 4 XYZs easily.
Mermail Abyssgunde: This was used to make Dracossack easily. Mermails are still good because you can search this card with Mermail Abyspike and Mermail Abyssteus.
Rekindling: This card was used as an easy way to make Shooting Quasar Dragon which means that we might get a reprint of Shooting Quasar Dragon.
Infernity Barrier: Once you have this card facedown your opponent can't do anything. Thank you Konami for limiting this card.
Semi-Limited
Necroface: This card started a lot of loops, but i don't think they are that good with only 2 NecroFace, but we will just have to see.
Hieratic Seal of Convocation: This doesn't really hurt Hiratics at all.
Unlimited:
Magical stone Excavation: this card should have not been semi-limited all this time.
Primal Seed: Infinite attack Cyber Dragon any one.
Wel that is the banlist. If you would like to look at the page i got the information from click here.

April 2014 Banlist Predictions
The Banlist is coming up right around the corner and it is time for some predictions. The predictions that i make are only my opinion and might not actually happen.
Banned:
Wind-up Hunter This card started so many loops that it deserved to be banned.
There are not many more cards that deserve to be banned
Limited:
Wind-up Carrier Zenmaity If you ban Wind-up Hunter then this card can come back because you cant do any of the loops.
Abyss-Sphere this is the best card in Mermails, but they are still good with it at one because you can search it with Megalo.
Glow-up Bulb This would be a great card in Sylvans and it is not really broken.
Trishula Dragon of the ice barrier Fine at 1 but not at 2 or 3 and there is only a handful of decks that can use this card like psychics and mermails
Semi-limited:
Tenki this card should have never been at three in the first place.
Dark Armed Dragon This card is really conditional because it is very easy to get to many darks in the graveyard.
Dragons Ravine Dragon Rulers are dead so this card can come back.
Unlimited
Dark Strike Fighter only if he gets an errata like the ocg.
These are my predications. Tell me yours in the comment section below.

The Return of Dark Strike Fighter
As you all know Dark Strike Fighter has been banned for a long time. Now there is a chance he will come back.
The reason Dark Strike Fighter was banned is because its effect can be used unlimited times per-turn, but it will get errated meaning its effect will be changed to once per-turn. It will not be as good, but it will be very good in Blackwings. If it gets a reprint i will tell you but for now i don't have much information.

Good Non-Meta Decks
Today I am going to talk about good decks that don't see any play in todays Meta-game.
Nordics are great at throwing down big beat-sticks that your opponent can't get rid of. Then they protect them with Forbidden Lance and Trap Stun to make them even harder to destroy.
Aliens focus on using A Counters to weaken their opponents monsters or to take control of them. They also abuse Swords of Revealing Light by bouncing it back to their hand with Cosmic Fortress Gol'Gar. This then makes their opponent unable to attack.
Fabled decks are similar to DarkWorlds because they get their effects when they are discarded. They are great in a Quasar deck because they make synchros fast.
These are only a few of good decks that are not meta.

What Build of Mermails is the best?
As you probably know there are two different builds of Mermails. I will be talking about the different builds and there different play styles.
Genex Mermail: This build focuses on using Genex Undine to get the effects of your Atlanteans. Since this deck sends lots of water monsters to the graveyard Moulinglacia The Elemental Lord would be a good choice in the deck. The one problem in this build is that Genex Controller is a dead draw. Some people play cards like Divine Wrath and Lightning Vortex to get rid of their Genex Controllers.
Aqua Spirit Mermail: This build uses Aqua Spirit to swarm the field for Rank 4 XYZ plays. If you play this build then you will be doing a lot of banishing, so you should play at least one Leviar The Sea Dragon. I think that this build clogs your hand a lot.
Now that you know both of the builds i will tell you which one is the best. I think that the Genex build is the best. Try them out and tell me what you think is the best.

New Information on Pendulum Summoning
Pendulum summoning is a new way to summon from the extra deck. The new mats will have pendulum zones on them. The pendulum ones are between the extra deck zone and the field spell card zone and on the other side they are between the graveyard and the deck.
In order to preform a Pendulum summon you must have one Pendulum monster in each Pendulum zone. Depending on what there Pendulum scale is (the diamonds on the sides of the card) you special summon monsters from your extra deck and/or your hand who's levels are between the two Pendulum scales. For example. The monster on the left has a Pendulum scale of 1 and the monster on the right has Pendulum scale of 8, so you can special summon monsters who's levels are 2,3,4,5,6 and 7 because those numbers are between 1 and 8. That is all I know so far. I do not know how to get the monsters in the Pendulum zone so i will keep you informed.

New Card: Gladiator Beast Augustal
Gladiator Beast Augustal will be released in Primal Origins.
There are many combos using this card. I will go over them. If you special summon him with a Gladiator Beast monster you can special summon Gladiator Beast Darius and use his effect to special summon Gladiator beast Laquari. Then use all three of them to fusion summon Gladiator Beast Heraklinos. You can also use his effect to special summon Gladiator beast Bestiari and fusion summon Gladiator Beast Gyzarus. This card will be a great addition to your Gladiator Beast deck.
Here is his effect: When this card is special summoned by the effect of a Gladiator beast monster: You can special summon one gladiator beast from your hand in face-up defense position. Shuffle that monster into your deck during the end phase. at the end of the battle phase if this card attacked or was attacked you can shuffle this card into your deck and special summon 1 gladiator beast monster from your deck except Gladiator Beast Augustal. How To Beat Evilswarm Exciton Knight
Evilswarm Exciton Knight is a very popular card, so I am going to tell you how to beat him. The best is to get rid of him before he is even on the field using Solemn Warning. If you don't have Solemn Warning you can use Bottomless Trap Hole, but the effect of Evilswarm Exciton Knight can be chained to Bottomless Trap Hole. If your opponent activates the effect of Evilswarm Exciton Knight you can chain Effect Veiler (if you don't an Effect Veiler then you can use Skill Drain instead) and negate his effect and attack over him on your turn. Finally you can use Stardust Dragon or Starlight Road to negate the activation of his effect and destroy him. If you find any other ways to beat him tell me in the comment section below.

When to Use MAXX "C"
MAXX "C" is a very good card when used effectively so today I will tell you how to use MAXX "C" effectively. Many times when you play MAXX "C" you get one or two draws with it, but MAXX "C" can be used in more ways than just drawing cards. Most players do not want their opponent to draw cards so if you play MAXX "C" they will stop special summoning unless they have game.
Now I will talk about using MAXX"C" against popular decks. Karakuri decks swarm the field with monsters. If you chain MAXX "C" to Machine Duplication you can draw one card, but they have to special summon more times because if they don't they will have to end their turn with three 500 atk monsters on the field.(See Karakuri OTK) If you are playing against Fire Fists then you would play MAXX "C" when they summon Coach Soldier Wolfbark and draw two cards.
MAXX "C" can be used in more ways than drawing cards. If you only have four Earths in the graveyard and you need five for Grandsoil, The Elemental Lord just activate MAXX "C". If you have a Junk Synchron in your hand and no targets in the graveyard use MAXX "C".

Cards you can put in a scrap deck
Scraps have not seen that much play lately. You want Scraps in the graveyard so cards like Card Trooper, Ryko, Lightsworn Hunter and Summoner Monk. You can use Summoner Monk's effect to special summon Scrap Beast or Scrap goblin and then synchro summon Scrap Dragon or Scrap Archfiend. If you play Grandsoil, the Elemental lord and he is destroyed you have to skip your next battle phase. You can take advantage of that and play Scrap Lube so you don't care about skipping your battle phase. These are some combos that you can do with scraps.

Two Very Good Cards
The next card is Jeweled Red Dragon Archfiend.
What makes this card broken is that he can still attack the turn you activate this effect.

Top Decks for January 2014
With the new ban list effect, Dragon Rulers are dead, but many decks are now gaining popularity, such as Fire Fists, Mermails, Bujins, and Madolches. Now that they are gone, other decks have a chance to shine. Among these decks are Mermails, Hieratic, Madolche,
Bujin, Blackwing, Fire Fist, Geargia Karakuri, and Prophecy.
Mermails can swarm the field and make rank 7 XYZs first turn. Also they can easily OTK and have enough search power to easily pull off some Crazy combos. I play Mermails and very few times you will open up with a hand you cant do any thing with it.
Hieratics were designed to pull off easy OTKs. They swarm the field and XYZ a lot.
Madolches work around Shuffling cards in your graveyard into the deck so they can recycle their cards. They also swarm the field with level 3 and 4 monsters.
Bujins are a slow deck, but they play a lot of hand traps to pretect thier cards. The strategy is to protect thier Bujin Yamato. They don't do that much special summoning, but they play Vanity's Emptiness to stop you from special summoning.
Blackwings are an older deck, but they are still good. They swarm the field to synchro and XYZ summon. Thye can be very tough to beat because they play this synchro that can't be destroyed by battle.
Fire Fist play a lot of back row. Most of their spells and traps are continuous. They boost up the attack of thier monsters with card effects. Also they will XYZ and synchro summon a lot.
Geargia Karakuri decks are strong because the continually search with the effect of Geargiarmor. And swarm the field really fast.
Prophecy decks search and recycle cards a lot. They can be difficult to beat because they search out their combo cards. They are not OTK decks, but they still are strong.
Whta decks are you going to play this format?

Sylvan Strategy and Deck Recipe
In "Legacy of the Valiant" Sylvans will be released. The main strategy is to excavate the top cards of your deck, and then send all plants to the graveyard and the rest to the bottom of the deck. This combos well with Dandylion. Also it allows you to set up the graveyard for Debris Dragon.
Now for the Deck recipe.
I think that Sylvans will be good this format.
